Apple Pay with Paddle
Learn how to introduce Apple Pay flow in your Paddle checkout.
With Paddle checkouts there are 2 possible Apple Pay flows:
- Redirect flow: after pressing "Pay with Apple Pay" user is redirected to Paddle.com
- Native modal flow: after pressing "Pay with Apple Pay" user is presented with Apple Pay modal directly on your funnel
Redirect flow
First flow is supported in Paddle checkouts by default. No configuration is needed.
Native modal flow
Native modal flow requires additional steps.
In order to perform seamless purchases on funnel you need to verify your domain ownership. FunnelFox does all the heavy lifting but several steps are still required.
In your FunnelFox dashboard
- Go to Settings → Domains → Apple Pay domain verification and select Paddle
- Press Save changes
Re-publishing your funnels is not required after this change.
In your Paddle dashboard
- Make sure you've added your domain to Paddle > Checkout > Website approval > Domain approval, and that your domain is approved by Paddle. For sandbox accounts, domains are approved automatically once added
- Go to Paddle → Checkout → Website approval → Apple Pay verification, then click Verify next to your domain
- If your domain is approved, you'll see a green Approved badge right away
Is it safe to change flow in production?
If you are already using Paddle checkout in production, you might wonder if you should stop traffic before introducing changes.
It is safe to start domain verification with traffic. Paddle will fallback to redirect flow if any problem occurs.
