TikTok Pixel
Learn how you can benefit from integrating TikTok Pixel in your funnels
TikTok Pixel is a event tracker that helps you optimize your ad campaigns in TikTok app.
FunnelFox can integrate with your TikTok Events Manager via TikTok Pixel and provide following benefits:
- Track standard events, such as
CompletePayment
,InitiateCheckout
, etc. (complete list below) - Persist events via Events API
TikTok Pixel vs TikTok Events API
It is best to understand the difference between the two right from the start.
TikTok Pixel creates user identity on your funnel, tracks events from a browser.
Events API receives events from FunnelFox servers, and checks if these events were already sent from a browser.
Events API is an addition to TikTok Pixel that we highly recommend.
Should I configure Events API?
Absolutely! The idea behind Events API is to back up browser events, that might always be available.
For example, if user purchases your product using PayPal in tab-less browsers (such as TikTok webview), browser would not send CompletePayment
event. This happens because purchase occurs on paypal.com side, while your funnel is closed and cannot receive updates. Events API steps in to fix this issue — FunnelFox servers receive PayPal transaction and send CompletePayment
event using Events API. As a result — you don't loose any events.
FunnelFox makes sure that events in Events API and their attribution match with browser TikTok Pixel events. This allows TikTok Events Manager to deduplicate events sent from both browser and server, resulting in a single persistent event in your TikTok Events Manager.
